Contenders

Presidential contenders for the main opposition Grand National Party Lee Myung-bak, a former mayor of Seoul City, Sohn Hak-kyu, a former Gyeonggi Province governor, and legislator Won Hee-ryong (second from the right) participated in a workshop for senior members of the party and listened to the remarks of Park Kwan-yong, former chairman of the National Congress. Park Geun-hye, former chairwoman of the Grand National Party, could not join the meeting. The meeting that day was prepared by ‘Meeting for the Hope,’ the political gathering of both legislators in Grand National Party, who seek for neutrality in the contending party election, and chairpersons of several councils in the party.
