Ramadan

The Islamic holy month of Ramadan will start around the Islamic world on September 23 or 24, depending on the local time. Muslim women in Indonesia, the largest Islamic country, offer their special prayers in a Mosque in Jakarta last Saturday. The Mohammedans go on a fast and practice abstinence for a month during the daytime and share foods with the poor and wayfarers.
