Park Chan-ho (33. San Diego), who joined his team for about one month after an injury, has started preparing for postseason play.

Park yesterday said on the San Diego Padres website, “I am ready to be in the bullpen. I’ll do my best, one inning or two innings.” Park was put on the big league roster 37 days after going on the disabled list.

Park, who has a record of seven wins and seven losses and 4.68 ERA this season, had an operation on intestinal bleeding August 24 with little prospect for a return in the regular season, but it now seems likely that he will pitch in postseason for the first time ever since he moved to the U.S. in 1994. San Diego is leading the West Division in the National League by one game against the L.A. Dodgers as of September 24.
