Defectors

On August 22, Thai police officers arrest and transport North Korean defectors having hided themselves near residential areas in Bangkok to a refugee camp in the Thai Immigration Office. The police said the arrested defectors are 175 in total. The defectors have smuggled themselves into Thailand as a family unit since three years ago. Reportedly most of them want to seek asylum to South Korea.
