Truce

The Israel-Lebanon conflict, which seemed like it would never be resolved, finally reached a dramatic turning point beginning last weekend. Both sides agreed on an armistice for August 14, and earlier, on August 11, the U.N. Security Council adopted Resolution 1701, calling for an immediate ceasefire.
