Protest

A demonstration against the “return of wartime operational control,” in which eight former national defense ministers and sixty reserved army generals participated, was held at the Seoul Station Square on August 11. In the protest led by about five thousand members of groups for dispatched military men such as Seongwoohoe and the People’s Action Headquarter, former defense minister Lee Jong-gu argued, “We have to think about the return in consideration of 0.01% possibility of war.”
