Dokdo

Atop the open seas just 12 miles to the East of the Dokdo Islets, Korean (right) and Japanese patrol ships are on the lookout Tuesday. Tensions are rising after the Korean government decided to proceed with its ocean current investigations in the East Sea area that includes the Dokdo Islets, despite a stoppage call from Japan.
