Viva Mexico

Mexican President Vicente Fox (center) and First Lady Marta Sahagun (left) watched the 2006 Germany World Cup Group D game against Portugal held on June 21 on TV. President Fox and the First Lady wore the national uniform and cheered for their team in their presidential palace at Los Pinos, but Mexico lost 1-2. Regrets were short-lived, however; Mexico earned a ticket to the next round (1 win, 1 draw, 1 loss) when Angola and Iran tied, 1-1.
