President Roh Moo-hyun will address the National Assembly on June 21.

This speech will be delivered to mark the first extraordinary session in the second half of the 17th National Assembly. It is President Roh’s fifth address to the parliament.

The Uri Party and the Grand National Party held a leadership meeting on Monday and decided to include the president’s address in the detailed schedule of the extraordinary session in June.

Cheong Wa Dae spokesperson Jeong Tae-ho said on Monday, “The main purpose of the address will be to ask for the cooperation of the ruling and opposition parties in order to pass major bills, including judiciary reform and national defense reform bills.”
