Touch Panel

The Mitsubishi Electronic Corporation has developed a “Diamond Touch Panel” which can be touched and used by a multiple number of people simultaneously. On June 2, researchers from Mitsubishi are discussing simulate evacuation plans with a satellite map of Aceh, an Indonesian region hit by a tsunami, displayed on the screen. The panel is convenient for cooperative tasks since many people can manipulate the monitor together at once, explained the company.
