Han River Freezes

The Han River froze yesterday for the first time this winter as Seoul shivered amidst a cold snap. A Han River police officer of the Seoul National Police Agency is breaking ice near the upper reaches of the Cheonhodaegyo Bridge with a paddle. When it becomes impossible to see in the water because of freezing around 100m upstream between the second and forth pier of the first Han River bridge, the Korea Meteorological Administration decides the Han River is frozen.
