If you want to join in a special event with friends and colleagues for New Year’s, a party at a five-star hotel could be a good choice.

The Westin Chosun Hotel will hold a musical dance party on December 31: the motif of the dance is for participants to display the kind of passion seen in musicals. The dance will be held in the Grand Ballroom of Chosun Hotel; 55,000 won will get you endless beer on tap, drinks, and an all-you- can-eat buffet.

The Grand Hyatt’s J.J. Mahoney’s club will hold a party with a Christmas and New Year’s motif. The fun includes a best-couple contest, a live-band performance, and a New Year’s countdown. The cover charge is around 50,000 won per person.

At the Mayfield Hotel’s M-Bar, tuxedos, evening dresses, and masks are available for rental.

Knowing when the “happy hour” is can save you a lot of money on your gatherings.

The Grand Intercontinental Hotel’s lobby lounge offer endless beer, wine, and a snack buffet from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. from Monday to Friday for around 13,000 won per person.

The Lotte Hotel Seoul’s “Bobby London” restaurant will let you choose among endless beers on tap, wines, and cocktails when you order a snack buffet or a dessert tray for around 15,000 won per person.

The Lotte Hotel’s classy new pub “Mega CC” has 605 seats that will accommodate large-scale year-end gatherings. A special room with karaoke and a table set of hard liquor will cost you between 360,000 to 850,000 won.

The Grand Intercontinental Hotel’s “Table 34” restaurant offers a gourmet meal plus an amazing view. Their Christmas menu will feature truffles, foie gras, lobster, and foods made from gourmet ingredients.

A Sunday morning brunch can be a good idea for a year-end gathering. The Westin Chosun Hotel’s “Ninth Gate” restaurant offers a Sunday brunch package that includes salad, soup, and steak for 65,000 to 80,000 won per person.

Singers, comedians, and a dinner show-

The Grand Intercontinental Hotel’s second floor grand ballroom will feature singer Yi Ja-yeon in a dinner show to benefit needy children on December 22 at 6:00 p.m. The ticket costs 180,000 won. On Christmas day, the show will also feature comedian Yi Yong-sik.

Lotte Hotel World will present ‘2005 Year-end Insuni Dinner Show’. The show will take place at the hotel’s Crystal Ballroom on the third floor. The cover charge is between 150,000 won to 180,000 won, and includes dinner and a glass of wine.

The Millennium Seoul Hilton will present the “Petty Kim Show” and the “Big Three of Folk: Song Chang-sik, Yun Hyeong-ju, and Kim Sae-hwan Dinner Show.” The Big Three will be open on December 21 and 22 at 6:30 p.m., and Petty Kim’s show will be shown on December 23 and 24 at 6:30 p.m..
