Rosa Parks Rests in the Capitol

Rosa Parks, the mother of the civil rights movements for African-Americans who passed away last Monday, became the first woman to lie in honor in the Capitol Rotunda, sharing an honor bestowed upon the nation`s highest leaders including Abraham Lincoln. Only 29 leaders have been honored in that hall since 1852.
