Shuttle Discovery Returns on Piggyback

The U.S. space shuttle Discovery arrived at its home port, Kennedy Space Center in Florida, on August 21. Discovery landed at Edwards Air Force Base in California on August 9 after completing its shuttle mission, but due to poor weather conditions, it returned to Florida riding piggyback on a modified Boeing 747 12 days after its return to earth.
