May You Rest in Peace without Fear of Atomic Bombing

On August 6, 1945, Hiroshima, Japan was hit by an atomic bomb. The bombing helped bring the Second World War to an end earlier than people had thought possible, but claimed hundreds of thousands of lives. On August 5, Korean residents in Japan are praying for the peaceful rest of Korean bombing victims in front of the cenotaph dedicated to the Korean victims in Hiroshima’s Peace Memorial Park. The number of Korean victims of the Hiroshima and Nagasaki atomic bombing is as many as 2,300.
