Is it a Bus or a Subway?

This is an example of a new type of vehicle which can run both on the road like a bus and on rails like a subway. The Korea Railroad Research Institute said on July 18 that it is planning to develop a “new energy bi-modal non-step floor articulated vehicle,” which combines the strengths of buses and subways. It said it will invest 29 billion won in the project by 2009. Because the floor of the new vehicle will be close to the ground and it will have no steps, it will be easier for baby carriages and wheelchairs to board this new vehicle.
