World’s Biggest Freshwater Fish Weighing 293kg

On June 30 the world’s biggest freshwater fish, weighing in at 293 kg, was caught in the Mekong River in Thailand. Information on this fish of the catfish family was immediately reported to the World Wildlife Fund and National Geographic’s joint research team, which is involved in the preservation and research of fish that are “1.8m long and 90kg and above.”.
