As it became known that the Presidential Committee on Judicial Reform is pushing to reform criminal trials so that the investigation records by prosecutors will not be valid as evidence, some 17 chief public prosecutors from the Supreme Prosecutors’ Office (SPO) including Prosecutor General Kim Jong-bin and others from the Seoul metropolitan area held an emergency meeting at the SPO building in Seocho-dong, Seoul, on the morning of Wednesday, April 27. Kang Chan-woo (right), SPO’s public relations officer, is coming out from the meeting room to give a briefing on the results of the meeting to reporters.
