The Ministry of Health and Welfare has started a nonsmoking campaign on TV starting April 1. This is a campaign describing “self-torturing skin” among three campaigns delivering the side effects of smoking with a part of body. This campaign shows symbolically that smoking is not good for the skin through a beautiful woman drinking tea (picture 1) and scratching her face on a table (picture 2). Cigarettes are harmful to skin because they comprise about 4,000 chemicals, including acetone and chloroform.
