Households in Pyeongtaek to Receive 15 million Won

Factories for a total of 61 industries, including electronic, information and automotive parts, will be built in the Pyeongtaek province which is where the U.S. Forces Korea (USFK) are to be moved.

In addition, regarding the residents of Pyeongtaek area, each household will be provided with 15 million won in special support funds for settling and 2.5 million won in special support funds for living per person.

The government held a cabinet meeting presided over by Prime Minister Lee Hae-chan at the government building in Sejongno on March 22 and passed the above-mentioned “bill to enforce a special law on supporting Pyeongtaek province following the base movement of the USFK.”
