Philippine Senate President Franklin Drilon said on Friday that he would address the Issue of Japanese Military Sexual Slavery at the 12th Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) general assembly, which will be held in the Philippines.
In his meeting with Uri Party Chairman Lim Chae-jung, Drilon responded as such when Lim asked for cooperation for South Koreas efforts against Japans claim for sovereignty over the Dokdo islets. Drilon is expected to preside over the general assembly as chairman. The Uri party is seeking ways to pressure Japan by forming solidarity with Southeast Asian nations through diplomatic channels. Lims request can be understood as part of that effort.
