At the convention of Chinas National Peoples Congress on March 14, an anti-secession law that incorporates the basis of military intervention to prevent Taiwan from declaring independence was passed with sweeping support. The electric sign at the National Peoples convention shows the result; 2,896 votes for, zero votes against, and two abstentions. Countries such as the United States and Taiwan have been opposed to this law on the grounds that this law will deepen the conflicts on both sides.
