One Hundred and Five Centimeters of Heavy Snow in Gangwon

One hundred and five centimeters of heavy snow in the mountainous Gangwon area caused several roads to be either completely or partially closed to traffic and some remote mountain villages snowbound for two days until yesterday. According to the Gangwon Meteorological Administration, the east coast and the mountainous areas in Gangwon are expected to have 10-20 centimeters of snow until February 17. Vehicles were crawling up the Daegwanryeong pass yesterday afternoon.
