Voting One by One for Iraq’s Future

Iraqi women cast their ballots in the national election, which actually was the first liberal-democratic election. On January 30, female voters appeared at polling stations in the shrine city of Najaf in the Shiite heartland. At least 25 percent out of the total 275 Constituent Assembly legislators will be female.
