Appointment of Three Vice Minister-Level Officials

On January 20, President Roh Moo-hyun promoted Roh Jun-hyung, deputy minister for Planning and Management in the Ministry of Information and Communication, to vice minister of the ministry, and Yoon Gyu-hyuk, deputy commissioner of the Military Manpower Administration, to the head of the agency.

Kim Jong-min, a spokesman for Cheong Wa Dae, announced this day that President Roh decided to appoint Sung Hae-yong, a senior member of Transparency International-Korea, as a standing committee member (vice minister-level) of the Korea Independent Commission against Corruption. Meanwhile, Moon Jae-in, the chief presidential secretary for Civic Society, has been selected as the chief presidential secretary for Civil Affairs, which is currently vacant, and Kim Wan-gi, chairman of the Appeals Commission, as the chief presidential secretary for personnel management.
