A report on December 27 revealed that President Roh Moo-hyun has made an unofficial decision to have Presidential Advisor on Economy Cho Yoon-je succeed Lee Tae-shik as the ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Great Britain.

Also, a senior authority of the government said that Presidential Secretary for Leadership Lee Joo-heum, who served as the deputy secretary-general for the Asian Pacific Affairs Bureau at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade (MOFAT), will be appointed as the new Korean ambassador to Myanmar, and Chief of the European Affairs Bureau at MOFAT Kim Young-seok will serve as the ambassador to Norway. Ambassador Kim Ha-Joong’s continued service in China has been confirmed as well.
