With Gye Soon Hee in the Atlanta Olympics

Reverend Kim Dong-shik, who was kidnapped by North Korea while working in China in 2000, is standing side-by-side with Gye Soon Hee, a North Korean national judo player, in the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games. Rev. Kim’s wife, Chung Young-hwa, who is living in the United States, said, “My husband went to the Atlanta Olympics as an interpreter and guide for the North’s national team, and he supported Gye as if she were his own daughter.”
