A part of Mt. Halla saw a record low temperature of 4.2 Celsius degrees below zero on December 5. Thanks to the freezing cold, hoarfrost and snowflakes appeared on trees. Hoarfrost refers to a phenomenon that occurs when vapor in the air freezes, attaching itself to branches due to below-zero cold on crisp winter nights.
