Minister Kim Geun-tae, “Apologize for Causing Trouble to Many”

Health and Welfare Minister Kim Geun-tae, who expressed his opposition to the government plan to invest the National Pension Fund in Social Overhead Capital on the ministry’s website, yesterday said, “I apologize for causing trouble to many as a result.”

Director Jeong Sun-gyun of the Government Information Agency said that Minister Kim stated that he “intended to send a message to the people that the national pension would be managed in a safe manner, and it was unavoidable to point out the jobs of government ministries in the message in order to explain the situation to the people,” during the Cabinet meeting convened by Prime Minister Lee Hae-chan yesterday morning at the Central Government Complex in Seoul.
