“A Cloud of Dreadful Grasshoppers Attacks Israel”

The terror of a cloud of grasshoppers is spreading throughout the northern part of Africa and Middle East region. Last Thursday, billions of red grasshoppers appeared in the adjacent area of Cairo, capital of Egypt, for the first time in 50 years and caused serious damage to farming houses, according to news delivered by foreign newspaper company like Reuters. Global warming and dry weather conditions in this region can explain the intractable propagation power of the grasshoppers. The governments of the region are having difficulties in eliminating the grasshoppers and, as one of their efforts, they have launched campaigns “to eat grasshoppers sandwiches.” This is the scene of Eliat, southern city of Israel, surrounded by a cloud of grasshoppers.
