Shin Ki-sung of the Wonju TG Xers scored his first triple-double of the season to help the team win five games in a row.

The Wonju TG Xers crushed Incheon ET Land Black Slamer 88-62 in the Korean professional basketball league on November 7 in Wonju.

Shin recorded his first triple-double of this season – the third in his career – with 20 points, 10 rebounds, and 11 assists. Albert White of the ET Land had scored the first triple-double of this season, the previous day, in a match up between ET Land and the Samsung Thunders.

Shin, who until last season shared the role of point guard with now-retired Hur Jae, controlled the game at a speedy tempo as the main point guard of the Xers.

TG’s victory was predicted after the second quarter, as the Xers widened the gap to 47 to 32, with the help of Chudney Gray’s successful shots. The tallest foreign player in the league, Jameel Watkins (204.3 cm) of the Xers was clearly superior to Hiram Fuller of the Black Slamer.

Watkins rebounded 17, scored 12, and blocked two shots, and Gray netted 23 points. Black Slamer’s White fought alone, scoring 18 points, assisting 10, and rebounding 7, but could not cruise past TG’s height.

Meanwhile, the KCC Egis beat Daegu Orions 100-90 in the overtime thanks to an outstanding performance by Lee Sang-min and Charles Minlend. Minlend scored 46 points and rebounded 11. Orions’ Kim Seung-hyun was sent off for five foul plays.

The SK Knights came from an early deficit of 33-48 in the first half to win over the SBS Stars 87-79 in Anyang. Cho Sang-hyun and Chun Hee-chul netted 25 points and 21 points, respectively.

In Jamsil, Seoul, the LG Sakers beat the Samsung Thunders 93-80, winning for the first time after four consecutive defeats.
