A Crumpled Highway in Japan

An overturned car on Japanese Highway 117 in Ojiya, Niigata prefecture, Japan. The roadway collapsed due to a strong earthquake from the night on October 23 to 24. A series of 257 large and small earthquakes, including three strong ones over six degrees on the Richter scale were recorded in this area during those two days.
