Super powerful Hurricane Ivan came ashore early morning September 16 as people fixed their eyes on the TV while spending their night at an emergency shelter in Mobile, Alabama. The U.S. government gave the worst case scenario of 50,000 possible victims from drowning and flooding in cities such as New Orleans, and ordered two million residents to evacuate to shelters, proclaiming states of emergency in four states.
