“My Mom is the Best”: Korean Olympic Athletes Come Home

Oh Seong-ok, women’s handball gold medalist at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, is greeting the welcoming crowd while hugging her son Kim Seung-gu at the arrivals hall of Incheon Airport on August 31. The Korean team, which ranked among the world’s top 10 by coming in ninth place overall with nine gold, twelve silver, and nine bronze medals, returned home on a chartered jet after 17 days of heated competition.
