“Unfair Ballot Counting, Bring Out the Ballot Box,” Say Opposition Party Supporters

Taiwan has been bogged down with splits and confrontation due to the presidential election. Supporters of the Nationalist Party, which was defeated by a slight margin, are confronting police at daybreak of March 21 in an attempt to go into the Kaoshung Public Prosecutor’s Office that keeps the ballot box. Opposition party supporters held a nationwide demonstration to call for the recounting of ballots while insisting there was unfairness in the official counting.
