“Overcome the FTA with Paprika”

Even though Korean farmers are encountering disadvantages from the FTA and the opening of the rice market, they still have hope. On March 1, in Jeonnam Province, this is now the prime time to harvest and prepare paprika for exporting to Japan. Last year’s amount of paprika export reached 60 billion won for the first time among the fresh harvest. Exportation to Japan accounts for 99 percent of it, and paprika is the most exported (65 percent).
