The opposition party clashed head-on with the government over the manner of rescuing the political situation. On November 30 at Cheong Wa Dae, Chief of Staff Moon Hee-sang (right) and Chief Secretary of State for Political Affairs Yoo In-tae (left) went to the GNP leader Choi and proposed talks with President Roh to him. However, Rep. Choi rejected the proposal and continued his hunger strike in order to “pass the counsel bill.”
