Wu Bangguo, Second-Ranking Official in China, Visiting North Korea

Wu Bangguo, Standing Committee Chairman of the National Popular Representative Council (left) and the second-ranking official in China, started his North Korean visit after arriving at the Soon-ahn Airport in Pyongyang. Since Wu was visiting as the national head delegate, some had prospected that he would receive welcoming by the National Defense Chairman Kim Jong-il, but Kim Young-nam, Standing Committee Chairman of the Supreme Popular Council (right) came to welcome him at the airport.
