Cheong Wa Dae is reported to accept the resignation of Government Administration and Home Affairs Minister Kim Doo-kwan when he submits it.
Speaking to reporters while accompanying President Roh Moo-hyun to the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency for a visit on Wednesday, Kim said his "mind has almost been made up" on his course of action, hinting at relinquishing his post around next week.
When President Roh said he wont easily accept the no-confidence motion against the Home Affairs Minister, he meant it will take time but he didnt mean he will never accept it, said Moon Hee-sang, Chief of Staff at Cheong Wa Dae, in a meeting with reporters Saturday.
But since Typhoon Maemi hit the nation and the Home Affairs Ministry should deal with the matter, I think we should take that into consideration, Moon added.
