Forties and fifties are coming together to achieve “reasonable progress”.

Some 200 men and women in their forties and fifties working in every walk of life gathered at Korea Press Center in Seoul on June 2nd to found solidarity between experts in their 40s and 50s.

Kim Young-han elected as a senior representative for the meeting announced through a statement, “This society is in distress due to deepening division and conflicts. Forties and fifties who could not have an opportunity to speak out in society are coming forward to open up a new era of reasonable progress and integration.”

The solidarity plans to review government policy and present proper alternatives while proposing reformative actions based on people`s lives.

The solidarity was generated from a small expert forum consisted of some 10 business people who are in their forties and fifties. It was first formed in early April. They decided to found a group by sharing thoughts that they should be the one who should speak out in society after having several meetings.

The solidarity has various members from all walks of life such as corporate representatives, lawyers, professors, pharmacists, journalists and tax accountants. But, whoever in their forties and fifties can join the solidarity only if he or she would agree on the founding meaning of the group.
