Golf Genius Girl Michelle Wie Invited Again Against Male Golfer

The golf genius girl Michelle Wie who has shown her powerful shot reaching over 300 yards in her pro-debut performance is faced with another chance to show her ability.

According to major American press on May 16th, Michelle was invited to a nation-wide tour Albertson Boise Opening event which is the second event for the American PGA tour held in Hillcrest CC, Idaho on September 18th. This is the third time that a woman golfer would the joint the male golf tour – the first one done by Anica Sorenstom who will play at Colonial event of PGA Tour held on 22nd and the second by Susie Weiley who will go for the Greater Hartford Opening in July.

Michelle Wie said at an interview with AP News, “If I played good, male pro-golfers would have to train harder to get over me. There is only a distance in difference between male and female golfers.” She also said at an interview with USA Today, “Woman golfers should have courage to match with male golfers. There will be some day when it will not become any surprising story any more”

The Boise Opening is one of the three nation-wide tours held this year, and its winning prize stands at 108,000 dollars out of the total 60,000 dollars. She already showed her power by playing at the annual male golf event Pearl Open two times in a row held in Hawaii early this year. She also won the 9th prize at Nabisco Championship which is the first major event of the American LPGA tour season.
