NHN Establishes ‘Digital YTN’

The Internet company, NHN said on April 25 that NHN together with YTN, the news cable media, will establish ‘Digital YTN’, which will be Internet news service specialized company.

According to what NHN said, ‘Digital YTN’ is in charge of operating YTN`s Internet site (www.ytn.co.kr) as a separately operated corporation for which NHN and YTN will invest 1 billion won of funds each. It will hopefully start to operate from June. Digital YTN will make profit through the advertisements based on news contents that revised by NHN technology after being providing from YTN. Recently Daum Communication started Internet newspaper, Media Daum. And Saerom Technology mentioned about foundation of ‘The daily focus’, the off-line newspaper. HN also participated in Media business. Thus, this tendency shows that IT business companies take their steps in Media field.
