A new Women`s amateur club soccer team will be born in order to stimulate the women`s soccer.
Daegyo, Inc., an educational service company, announced yesterday that it would found its women`s amateur club soccer team named Daegyo Kangaroo Women`s Soccer Team, and have it participate in the President`s Cup scheduled for next March.
The soccer team will be led by Choi Choo-hyung, head coach, and Kim Yong-bum, coach. It will consist of 26 players, most of whom are former national team members such as Kim Eun-sook (27), Kim Ae-ja (28), Kim Eun-ha (22), Han Jun-sook (20), Shim Boo-yon (25), and Lee Jin-sook (20).
Creation of another women`s team is expected to breathe a new life into the Korean women`s soccer, which is aiming at the world`s championship. Currently, Korea has three women`s teams, but two of them are facing financial difficulties.
Coach Choi said, "We will make it full of excitement through swiftness and aggressiveness."
