Korea- Cheapest Fare for High Speed Internet in the World

As for the fare for high speed Internet, Korea is known as the cheapest country in the world.

Japanese Kyoto Communication, by quoting the report of price survey for electricity and communication service by Japanese government, reported that access fare for ADSL for one month is 4,850 yen in Tokyo, 7,176 yen in New York and 3,081 yen in Seoul.

The survey preformed for 5 cities in US and Europe. Seoul was not the subject to survey. However, Kyoto Communication compared Seoul with them.

The most popular Internet service, ADSL has different fare system. So the comparison performed on the base of 1.5Mbps speed. The number of Korean Internet users including ADSL users amounts to 9.8 million in September, and the fare for ADSL at 2Mbps is about 30 thousand won per month.
