Color Screen and Mobile Function PDA of 500,000~700,000 Won

The color screen and mobile function PDA will be launched in a market, It is more expensive than the mobile phone. As the price burden is reduced, PDA users will increase.

CyberBank said on August 13 that it planed to supply the color PDA phone ‘POSE(picture)’developed for the wireless internet service ‘Nate’ of SK Telecom at KRW 700,000. Until now, the price of the color PDA Phone is ranged from KRW 900,000 to KRW 1,000,000, but the price of ‘POSE’ will be cheaper at 20∼30%.

CyberBank explained “Because the new PDA is based on ‘Pocket PC 2002’ which is the operating system for Pocket Computer (PC) of MicroSoft, the users who use the internet through PC can easily use it.“

Through the new PDA, users can send and receive the MSN Messenger or E-Mail on the street and can use it as a MP3 Player in putting a memory card.

LG Telecom already produced the PDA Phone ‘aiv+’ at KRW 550,000. It uses the Window CE.Net as the operating system and has the 3.5 Inch color screen. When the existing mobile users subscribe the equipment change, they can use this PDA Phone.

Lee Seung-Hyeon, the manager of CyberBank expected “The PDA Phone is a little more expensive than the color mobile phone (KRW 500,000). The PDA users will increase in enjoying a multi-media because of the various functions.”
