KTF-Net Income of KRW 307.8 Billion Hanaro Telecom-Net Loss of KRW 82 Billion

KTF disclosed on August 2 that there were the sales of KRW 2,588.8 billion and the net income of KRW 307.8 billion for the first half of the year.

The net income of KRW 307.8 billion was the largest scale on the basis of the performance of the half of the year. The sales increased by 28% and the net income increased by 171% over the same period of the last year.

Hanaro Telecom announced that the sales of the first half of the year were KRW 579.1billion increased by 57% over the same period of the last year (KRW 368.8 billion). Hanaro Telecom had the net loss of KRW 82 billion for the first half of the year, but the net loss decreased over KRW 125.5 billion of the same period of the last year.

KTF forecast that there will be the sales of KRW 6 trillion and the net income of KRW 500 billion because the subscribers were more than 10 million and the sales of the data field increased to 12% from 8% of the end of the last year during the first half of the year. In the second quarter, the sales of Hanaro Telecom were KRW 308 billion increased by 13.6% over the first quarter, and the net incomes were KRW 33.3 billion decreased by KRW 15.4 billion over KRW 48.7 billion of the first quarter.
