Foreigners’ Direct Investments Have Increases for Past 7 Months

Foreigners’ direct investments have increases for the past 7 months, and still are increasing.

According to the ‘Trend of Foreigners’ Direct Investment of May’ reported by Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Energy, the amount of direct investment is 767 million dollars, which is 28.3% more than that of last year May. Hence the foreigners’ investment compared to the same month, last year has been increasing for the past 7 months.

The amount of direct investment this year (until May) is 3.5 billion and it is 39.9% more than the amount of the same period last year (2.5 billion). 44.5% of the investment was from the US, 26.5% was from EU and 10.1% was from Japan.

Gio Hitech (Japan, air cleaner maker), Liquid Metal Korea (US, new material development) and Korea GKN England, automobile part maker) have invested for enlargements of factories. Metaldine (US, automobile part maker) and AAVA (US, photocopier maker) are constructing new factories. Morgan Stanley of the US has reported that they’d invest in stock investment trust.
