`The 2002 Joint National Event Implementation Preparatory Committee` announced on June 2 that North and South civic groups have agreed to hold a national unification festival for two days, June 14 and 15, in Mt. Keumgang, to celebrate the second anniversary of the June 15 Joint Declaration.

A related person of the All People`s Cooperative Council for National Reconciliation and Cooperation said, `We have agreed to hold a joint event, in which about 150 to 200 people from North and South Korea participate, to celebrate the second anniversary of the June 15 Declaration, through a working level contact that had been held in Mt. The joint events will include Korean traditional games celebrating Tano-day such as Korean traditional wrestling, rope skipping, group sports activities, joint mountain climbing, and a unification 6.15 km fun run, and others.

The related persons relayed also, `North side reconfirmed the promise made at the August 15 National Unification Grand Festival last year, in which it promised to send a delegation to the South on the liberation day this year.`
