President Chavez Returned in 2 Days

Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez (photo) returned to presidential palace on the 14th(local time) two days after he was forced from office, said AFP.

Vice president Diosdado Cabello said, “President Chavez will return to his post in a few hours. ”

President Chavez had been kept on la Orchila Island in the Caribbean Sea forced from the army commanders, but returned to Caracas as the situation was turned over.

Previously, Vice President Cabello took the post of `interim President` Pedro Carmona, who resigned on the 13th.

Carmona, chairperson of the federation of merchants and industrialists, who was inaugurated as interim president on the 12th as soon as President Chavez was driven out by the press of military circles, is allegedly under confinement by the military circles.

When the news of President Chavez` dismissal was reported on the 13th, Chavez supporters demonstrated violently surrounding the presidential palace, and the situation was reversed as special forces joined them.

Caracas Mayor Alfredo Pena said at least nine people were killed and 40 wounded.
