Japan, `Indicts U.S. to WTO`

Japan government decided to indict the U.S. to World Trade Organization (WTO) as soon as U.S. operates urgent control measures on imports (safeguard) of foreign steel on 20th reported Asali Shimbun on 18th.

Ministry of economy and industry reported this to Prime Minister Koizumi Junichiro and obtained sanction, the newspaper delivered.

Japan urges on the resistance of the U.S. side, which states that U.S. steel industry is harmed due to sudden increase in import of foreign steel, that recent import amount of steel showed decreasing trend and inactivity of U.S steel industry is just because of its domestic cause.

In case Japan indicts U.S to WTO, negotiation between the two countries will progress for two months and it will be handed over to arbitration committee, and it will take around one year to reach to conclusion.
